Fees and Timing: Compensation

We are happy to discuss success fee and retainer arrangements with prospective clients. We offer flexible fee structures to suit client circumstances. Our fee structure may include a combination of establishment fees, ongoing retainers, and percentage-based completion and success fees. Our fee schedule is comparable to that of other leading merger and acquisition intermediaries.


To partially cover the work shown in the timeline below we also charge a monthly retainer fee. Fees vary according to the complexity, diversity or size of the project undertaken. Success fees are calculated as a percentage of the total consideration of the transaction. Minimum fees apply to each transaction. Business acquisitions, joint ventures, management buy-outs and corporate advisory services are normally undertaken on an hourly rate or set monthly retainer.


Documentation services are generally undertaken on a fixed fee basis. In these circumstances 50% is paid in advance and the balance on completion.

 

We represent either the buying or the selling side in any given transaction and never are paid by both parties.

Timing:  Keeping the process on the track to success

In addition to thoroughness and professionalism, we understand the importance of urgency and momentum to a successful transaction.  We accelerate what typically is a 6 to 12 month process into a timeline that includes your objectives.
